North American Baptist Conference (NAB) churches have a rich history of making disciples here at home and internationally.  Our churches have commissioned, sent, and supported missionaries since the late 1800s.  As our outreach has grown and expanded over the years, so has the way we minister.  Gateway Short-Term Ministry Teams are a reflection of that change.  The Gateway Teams ministry, as part of the Ministry Outreach department, was created to serve the local church - helping you maximize your short-term missions experience and impact.

A Gateway Team is a group of growing Christians sent by an NAB church or other NAB institution to an NAB mission project, church, or other approved site. The purpose of a Gateway Team is to see ministry happen:
• at the project location (with the nationals, missionaries, or pastors)
• within the individual participant (opening up hearts to God’s missionary calling)
• back home (multiplying the church’s disciple-making efforts).
