Executive Committee Nominations

In preparation of the NAB Triennial Conference of 2012, it is the task of the Nominating Committee to recommend suitable candidates for various conference leadership positions that will need to be filled. Within the NAB Conference context, officers are elected by Triennial Conference delegates and Executive Committee members are appointed by the General Council. In both cases it is the task of the Nominating Committee to recommend candidates for both officer and Executive Committee positions. Needless to say, it is to the benefit of the process for the committee to seek nominee recommendations from various conference constituent groups.

- Mr. Bob Fast is the incumbent and is eligible for appointment to an additional term
- Mrs. Carla Freeman is the incumbent and is eligible for appointment to an additional term
- Two positions will become vacant without incumbents

Qualifications
Although for some positions there are very specific skills and abilities that will be required, the general qualifications of officers and Executive Committee members are:
- Maintains a vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ
- Member of an NAB church
- Positive and effective leadership experience within the conference and/or respective association
- Positive and effective leadership experience within the church
- Understands and supports the mission of the NAB Conference
- Able to prepare for and attend three Executive Committee meetings each year
- Committed to personal growth and development in relation to Executive Committee responsibilities
- Dedicated to learning about the conference
- Willing to solicit support, both prayer and financial, on behalf of the conference
- Brings expertise necessary for committee effectiveness
- Able to make sound, informed and objective decisions
- Able to act in good faith and in the best interest of the conference
- Willing to participate in the annual performance review of the conference executive director
- Willing to receive constructive criticism
- Able and prepared to lead in a task or project if called upon
- Willing and able to publically support the executive director, Executive Committee and General Council
